Acclaimed chef, broadcaster and cookbook author Romy Gill MBE is opening a new restaurant at The Pem in Westminster this September.
Inspired by regional Indian flavours and generous shared dining, the menu reflects the cooking that has shaped Romy throughout her career. From the rich, hearty flavours of Punjab, to the coastal spice of Kerala, and the vibrant street food of Bengal.
The menu encourages guests to order generously, pass plates around the table and enjoy a shared social fine dining experience.
Kick things off with starters including samosa chaat inspired by the street food of Romy's childhood, Orkney hand-dived scallops with raw mango and sweet date-tamarind, sweet & sour Paneer, tandoori lamb chops, and tamarind octopus.
On the mains, you'll find a selection of fragrant curries and melt-in-the-mouth slow-braised meats. Romy’s signature butter chicken is slow-cooked until rich and silky, and alongside it is slow-braised lamb with Kashmiri morel mushrooms, and hake moilee in a fragrant coconut and curry leaf broth.
To finish, treat yourself to desserts including rose and pistachio cake with fennel and cardamom cream, golden fennel and ajwain churros with warm chocolate, saffron and black cardamom poached pear with saffron ice cream, or panjri crumble with seasonal fruit.
