The Good Front Room is an exciting modern Caribbean restaurant in Dalston that opened back in February.
They're entering a new chapter with Amani Garcia as their new female Head Chef, who takes over from the founder, the late Chef Dom Taylor, who sadly passed away in July.
They've just launched a bold new menu which continues the vision established by Chef Dom, but broadens the restaurant's exploration of Caribbean food beyond its Jamaican roots, drawing inspiration from Guyana, Trinidad, Guadeloupe and other parts of the Caribbean.
The menu now features much more accessible pricing and is divided into Lickle Plates and Big Plates, giving guests more freedom over how they want to eat.
Lickle Plates start from £11 and are designed for exploring and sharing, featuring dishes like acke and saltfish croquettes, peach mango peppered prawns, sweetcorn fritters, Jerk Chicken with Plantain Jam, rum & raisin pork belly, and barbacoa wings.
Big Plates offers more substantial dishes, including Brown Stew Short Rib with Rice and Peas, Colombo de Poulet with coconut white rice and chicken curry inspired by Guadeloupe, Green Seasoning and Tamarind Grilled Sea Bass with sautéed potatoes, and Balanjay served with coconut white rice.
Alongside the Big Plates, you'll find sides including fried yellow plantain, Caribbean green salad, grilled vegetables, rice and peas, grilled corn and roti.
