Pyro is a brand-new open-fire Greek restaurant that's just opened in Borough.

It's the solo debut of Chef Yiannis Mexis, who was raised in Athens and Mykonos and has honed his craft at Michelin-starred restaurants Elystan Street, The Ledbury, Petrus, and Hide.

At Pyro, Yiannis brings Michelin-level finesse to the generosity and soul of a Greek taverna - where big flavours and open-flame cooking set the tone.

Everything at Pyro is about fire, flavour, and finesse. From sustainably sourced British meat and fresh seafood to the finest Greek olive oils, wines, and vinegars - every ingredient is chosen for its quality.

Meat, fish, and vegetables are cooked over flames, seasoned to perfection, and made to be shared. Every charred edge, every lick of smoke, is there for a reason. It’s about restraint as much as it is about excess, knowing when to let the flames rage and when to hold them back.

Begin your meal with grazing plates such as potato pita cooked on the hearth, market crudites & spreads, mussel saganaki, and souvlaki skewer cooked over the embers.

Then, enjoy a range of delicious crudo and small plates, including coal-seared bass, whole charred aubergine, barbequed octopus and scorched Cornish brill.

Or opt for a show-stopping sharing dish from the fire, such as Dorset lamb cooked over alder wood, 50-day aged Angus beef ribeye, or whole flame-kissed lobster.

After dinner, move seamlessly from your table to late-night drinks on their huge terrace, where the flames flicker late, and the terrace stays alive till the last drink is poured.
