Barge East is an award-winning floating restaurant on the River Lee in Hackney Wick, that was converted from a historic 120-year-old barge in 2018.

They recently scooped an AA Rosette for ‘Culinary Excellence’, following winning the Taste of London 2022 and being rated London’s #1 Restaurant on TripAdvisor in 2019 and 2020.

Their award-winning cuisine is inspired by seasonality, with produce from their very own gardens, and specially selected sustainable suppliers.

Their gardens are open 7 days a week and are perfect for when the sun is shining, but are equally well-equipped for cooler days thanks to ample cover, heaters throughout, as well as blankets and hot water bottles.

On their Street Kitchen menu, you'll find a variety of seasonal street food offerings, to enjoy al fresco style. All mains are 50% off from Monday-Wednesday throughout September.

Here are some of the mains on offer:

• Soy-brined buttermilk chicken, tomato, lettuce and slaw served in a brioche bun
• Maple & jalapeno glazed fried chicken, tomato, lettuce and slaw served in a brioche bun
• Braised beef in master stock sauce, pickled onions, Sriracha mayo, slaw, served in a brioche bun
• Falafel patty, green goddess sauce, avocado, chilli jam, salad, pickled onions served in a brioche bun

Alongside the mains, you'll find a range of sides and small plates such as Padron peppers, burrata, hummus, artichoke hearts, chicken wings and loaded fries.

Plus, there are sweet treats including double chocolate brownies and a range of ice creams.

Head to the Barge East website below to book a table, then select the Barge East Gardens & Terrace and make a "Street Food & Drinks" booking.

Put "Soft Launch London" in the special requests box when you book.

The 50% off mains deal is available when you eat from the Street Kitchen menu in the gardens only. The discount is available from 12pm until close, Monday-Wednesday throughout September.
