Barge East is an award-winning floating restaurant in Hackney Wick’s scenic riverside.

The restaurant has been lovingly restored and converted from a historic 120-year-old Dutch barge for a truly iconic dining experience.

This multi-award-winning restaurant has scooped a double AA Rosette for ‘Culinary Excellence’ in 2022, 2023 & 2024, won the Taste of London 2022 and was rated London’s #1 Restaurant on TripAdvisor in 2019 and 2020.

Their award-winning cuisine is inspired by seasonality, with produce sourced from their own gardens and specially selected sustainable suppliers.

Begin your meal with small plates including Cornish octopus sando, chicken liver parfait, Cornish crab & lobster wontons, Suffolk red pork belly taco, cured Loch Duart salmon and pumpkin velouté.

On the mains, you'll find dishes including ethical butcher onglet, aged Sandy Black pork T-bone, Cornish baby monkfish, and glazed aubergine alongside a changing weekly "Sustainable Specials" board.

If you save room for dessert, sweet treats include pumpkin pie, Hackney honey parfait, dark chocolate ganache and an apple tart.
