Barge East is an award-winning floating restaurant on the River Lee in Hackney Wick.

The restaurant has been lovingly restored and converted from a historic 120-year-old Dutch barge for a truly iconic dining experience.

They recently scooped a double AA Rosette for ‘Culinary Excellence’ in 2023 & 2024, following winning the Taste of London 2022 and being rated London’s #1 Restaurant on TripAdvisor in 2019 and 2020.

Their award-winning cuisine is inspired by seasonality, with produce from their very own gardens, and specially selected sustainable suppliers.

Begin your meal with starters including oysters, potato & cabbage croquette, miso BBQ lamb belly and hot pear & thyme tart.

On the mains, you'll find dishes including roasted duck breast, braised ox cheek, crispy aubergine and pan-fried skate.

If you save room for dessert, there are sweet treats including sticky toffee pudding and babá with chocolate mousse, banana and chilli caramelised oats.
